How To Wear A Jumpsuit For All Occasions

A Jumpsuit…

The piece that used to be avoided for years but is now everywhere. Inspired by mens coveralls they can be intimidating if you’ve never worn one before but there’s no need to be nervous. Get the right fit and style, they can be totally chic and feminine. This culotte jumpsuit from Warehouse has the potential to transform a day to day casual outfit into a stylish, evening look with just a few tweaks.

It’s an instant outfit so imagine the little thought that actually goes into it. What is quite a simple look, is in fact really bold and effective. The key is to experiment with lots of different styles to find the one that suits you. Do you suit a wide culotte style jumpsuit? Or perhaps something slim and fitted? A halter neck or a deep v-neck? No matter what style suits you, there will be one out there.

How To Wear The All In One Outfit For All Occasions

For an evening look, choose a style which shows off a little more skin. The culotte style gives the look a fresh and modern feel while the stripes and button down front keeps it on trend. Sometimes a jumpsuit can feel quite masculine so the tie belt cinches in the waist and is a great way to define your shape and add a little extra femininity to the look. Warehouse is one of my favourite brands on the highstreet; growing up I used to work in one of their stores so I’m very familiar with their edgy prints and feminine silhouettes. Going ‘out out’? Add your pair of favourite heels to give yourself some height and power.

For a summer day time look, opt to wear this jumpsuit with a pair of open toe flat sandals. It’s linen material is extra light which means it will keep you cool all day long. Add the ultimate accessory to get that care free look; an embroidered  bag to keep all of your essentials in and you’re good to go for lunch with the girls.

With an all in one piece, it’s normal to be intimidated and put off by one block colour but lucky enough Warehouse have thought about this and broken it up for you with narrow vertical stripes, not only does this break up one colour, but they elongate the body to create a feminine style which is exactly what one wants in a jumpsuit.

With this jumpsuit, I’ve styled it for an evening look wearing my Reiss pointed toe mules and worn my pink embroidered bag from House of Frazer for maximum appeal and to ensure the look stays fresh and summery into the night.

What do you think of the jumpsuit and I’d love to know how you’ve styled one before! Let me know in the comments below.
